Day 1   – Papeete, Tahiti

The island of Tahiti’s urban center has much to offer visitors. Take a stroll through the new Jardins Paofai, watch the surfers on their longboards, marvel at Faarumai Waterfalls, The Blowhole, Fern Grottos.  We will board around 1 pm.  Our ship stays in Papeete overnight.

Day 2- Moorea, French Polynesia

Breathtakingly beautiful, stunning landscapes await, from the verdant mountains to the azure seas and white sand beaches. Take a canoe ride through the lagoon; snorkel, scuba or helmet-dive the reefs, or hike up to the Afareaitu Waterfalls

Day 3 – Fakarava, French Polynesia

Pink Sands Motu, Fakarava

In the heart of the Tuamotu Archipelago, this atoll reveals a rich environment of exceptional beauty. Here, an abundant marine life is juxtaposed against stunning landscapes that are just as seductive. This atoll is recognized on a global level with its prestigious designation as a UNESCO biosphere reserve. It is a haven of genuine tranquility posed like a leaf on the great Pacific Ocean. The lagoon radiates with beauty, its stunning shades of blue swept by trade winds and sprinkled with motu (coral islets). The countless pink and white deserted beaches lure you into a daydream. Due to its surface area of 60km (37 mi) by 25km (15.5 mi), Fakarava is the second largest atoll in the Tuamotus after Rangiroa.

Day 4 – Cruising the South Pacific

Today we have nothing to do.  Well, nothing other than spend a relaxing day in the South Pacific aboard our floating luxury hotel!

Day 5 – Nuku Hiva, French Polynesia

Hatiheu bay on Nuku Hiva

With abrupt cliffs, several bays cut into ancient volcanoes and mountainous landscapes, Nuku Hiva’s wild beauty leaves an imprint on all visitors. This unique land is also rich in archeological ruins from an ancient Marquesan civilization. The island is a port of entry for hundreds of yachts that visit the waters of French Polynesia every year on their way from Panama Canal and the Galapagos Islands. Here is a discovery.  Visit the entrancing Vaipo Waterfalls and Cascade Tevaipo, which is one of the world’s tallest falls at over 1,100 feet. Wander the black sand beaches, marvel at the giant tiki at Piki Vehini, or get adventurous on an all-terrain vehicle excursion around the craggy island.

Day 6 – Cruising the South Pacific

There is much to see and do aboard the Regatta

Day 7 – Rangiroa, French Polynesia

Sea-shell necklaces – Rangiroa

Stunning, beautiful, this South Pacific atoll is a “natural aquarium,” its lagoon filled with colorful undersea life. Visit the pearl farms, dive with manta rays, explore the atoll’s unique winery or just choose a calming respite on a pink sand beach.  Before Europeans named this atoll Rangiroa, the Polynesians called it Ra’i Roa, which means “immense sky.” Besides the coconut trees spread along the atoll’s fragile coral strip, there is nothing high to impede the view of the sky. Located in the Tuamotu Islands, about 350km/217 miles northeast of Tahiti, Rangiroa is the largest atoll in French Polynesia and with a circumference of 280km/174 miles, it is one of the largest atolls in the world. The entire island of Tahiti and its peninsula could fit into the lagoon. Consisting of the remains of an immense volcano that gradually sank into the waves, the atoll consists of 500 islets and motu.

Day 8 & 9 – Bora Bora, French Polynesia

More than an island, Bora Bora is the epitome of Polynesian charm, spread out over a magnificent lagoon with idyllic motu under the perfect silhouette of Mount Otemanu. It is a dream conjured into an island. Snorkel, swim with the manta rays or enjoy an outrigger canoe ride through the lagoon and its lovely coral islands.  Rarely has an island on this planet so embodied an earthly paradise—welcome to Bora Bora in the heart of the Leeward Islands! More than just a name and a myth, it is also a promise of an escape into another world still located on this same planet.

Day 10 – Raiatea, French Polynesia

You’ll notice the rich scent of vanilla the moment you step off the ship onto this stunning island, with its vanilla plantations scattered throughout. Visit one or two, visit a pearl farm, snorkel the clear waters of the surrounding reef, or take a kayak trip along the Faaroa River.  As the cradle of Ma’ohi people and culture according to traditional legends, the island of Raiatea is also the third largest island in French Polynesia after Tahiti and Nuku Hiva. There, you will find a very important archeological site, the Taputapuatea marae, which is actually inscribed as a UNESCO world heritage site. However, this island is also exceptionally rich in natural land and sea resources, which make it a tourist destination worth discovering.

Specialty dining is included in your cruise with Oceania,

The Grand Dining Room

The Grand Dining Room is a study in stateliness, a tribute to the spirit of Europe’s marquee 5-star hotel restaurants that inspired its dignified yet convivial ambiance. Handsomely decorated in rich woods, designer tapestry fabrics and oversized armchairs, the expansive dining area exudes classic splendor. Tables are beautifully set with bone china, sparkling Riedel crystal, gleaming silver, and fine cotton linens. Remarkably, as sumptuous as The Grand Dining Room’s decor is, guests always feel completely at ease within its grandeur.

The Bistro

Inspired by the family recipes of Executive Culinary Director, Jacques Pépin, The Bistro invites you to enjoy quintessential French dishes as well as lunchtime favorites and regional specialties during lunch in The Grand Dining Room. The menu features some of Jacques’ favorite bistro-style dishes like the crisp salade niçoise and a warm croque-monsieur as well as a rich range of global flavors with Taste of the World selections from Cuba, Mexico, Scandinavia, Italy, Thailand, Morocco and beyond.

Polo Grill

Polo Grill embodies all the elements of a classic steakhouse, expressing them with timeless reverence. Mindful of tradition, the decor features crisp, white linen tablecloths, dark wood furnishings and supple, high-back, burgundy leather chairs. Each course stands as the very definition of time-honored favorites, most notably the beef dishes, all of which are USDA Prime and dry-aged for 28 days to enhance tenderness and flavor. Succulent seafood dishes such as Grilled Swordfish and Whole Maine Lobster Gratinée are also classics in their own right. The Classic Caesar Salad, too, is prepared according to tradition, tableside and with gusto.

In Italian, Toscana means Tuscan, and just as Tuscan cuisine evolved from rich family traditions, many of our recipes originated with the mothers and grandmothers of our own Italian culinary staff. Presented on elegant, custom-designed Versace china, masterfully prepared dishes exemplify the essence of Tuscany and celebrate Italy’s culinary passion. Perhaps the evening begins with an appetizer of Octopus Carpaccio with Champagne Vinaigrette or the Artichoke and Parmesan Cheese Timbale with Black Truffle Sauce. Classic dishes from other regions of Northern Italy are featured as well, such as the Minestrone alla Genovese, Lasagne al Forno alla Bolognese and Osso Buco alla Milanese.

Terrace Café

Informal and carefree, the Terrace Café is wonderfully inviting any time of day–feel free to dine inside or alfresco at one of the shaded teak tables on the terrace. First thing in the morning, enjoy sumptuous breakfast selections. Come lunch, the expansive menu of international-inspired dishes changes entirely, beautifully complemented by flavorful roasted and rotisserie meats and the magic of the pizzeria’s oven. Feel free to dine inside or alfresco at one of the shaded teak tables on the terrace. Evenings, the impeccably clad wait staff shines, and the cuisine takes on a more sophisticated flair. Tomorrow, an entirely different series of menus awaits the opportunity to delight you.
