Kathryn Ann Budda & Daniel Michael Borkowski will say “I DO” in beautiful George Town, Grand Cayman on January 19, 2023
About the couple
Katy and Dan met on January 19th, 2013. Some say you are never supposed to date someone you met in a bar but in their case, they really met outside the bar all is good! Dan, the pool shark, was there practicing for an upcoming pool tournament while Katy was hanging with friends and her brothers for a fish fry. As the night went on, Dan kept the brothers busy with drinks while he and Katy got to know each other. Katy’s brother Tim softened to Dan (maybe the drinks but who knows) and invited him back to the house for dinner. That night led to another date, this time just the two of them, and well the rest is history.
Nine years and 3 months later (but who’s counting), Dan and Katy took a trip to New Hampshire to pick up a new Corvette. On the road trip home, they stopped in Newport Rhode Island and took a walk along the Cliff Walk. At the way point called 40 Steps they walked to the bottom to watch the waves crash against the cliff. It was a sunny and beautiful day, one they’ll both remember because it is here that Dan proposed, and Katy said YES!
Katy and Dan will tie the knot exactly 10 years from that first date. They hope you will join them in their celebration of love.

Frequently Asked Questions
- What’s included in the cruise?
Your cruise cost includes your accommodations and meals, all taxes and port fees. Celebrity also includes basic wi-fi, the classic beverage package and tips for your stateroom attendants and waiters. Extras would be: specialty dining reservations, gambling, spa services, drinks not included in the classic beverage package, purchases in the shops.
You may opt to upgrade your beverage package to include premium drinks or streaming wifi if you prefer.
Your beverage package will include cocktails, premium coffee, wines by the glass (up to $9 in cost) and endless soda and bottled water.
If you’d like a full list of what is included on the beverage package, please ask Sue when making your reservation
- What documents will I need?
While you can travel on a passport card, we strongly recommend a regular US passport. The reason for this is simple, should you need to leave the ship mid cruise for any reason, you cannot fly home using a passport card as it only covers entry into the US via car or ship.
Your passport must be valid for 6 months beyond the last day of the cruise. If you do not have a passport, we encourage you to apply asap as we are seeing many delays in completion.
- What about vaccinations?
As you know this is a dynamic topic with requirements changing daily. The current policy may not be the policy in place next year. Sue will keep you posted as the sailing gets closer or as rules change. Right now, the policy is as follows:
- All staff and guests (12 and older) who are eligible for vaccination must be fully vaccinated with all initial doses administered at least 14 days prior to sailing.
- Guests 2 and over must present a negative covid 19 test result to board the ship
- Boosters are not currently required
- All individuals entering the US must have a negative covid 19 test
- What if I test positive before boarding the ship?
Currently the policy is to offer you a 100% refund of your cruise fare if you test positive within 10 days of the ships departure. We strongly recommend travel insurance as a back up to this policy. Ask Sue about details.
- What if I test positive during the cruise?
The current policy is, Celebrity will cover the cost of any Covid 19 related medical care, you and your cabin mate(s) will stay onboard the ship for free to complete any required quarantine, Celebrity will help coordinate homebound travel arrangements. Again, we strongly recommend travel insurance to offset costs that may be involved.
- What do I wear to a destination wedding?
Katy and Dan are planning a casually elegant beach wedding. Men will want to wear nice shorts or lightweight slacks and a comfortable shirt. No ties or jackets are necessary. Ladies might want to choose a sun dress or nice capri outfit. For footwear, we recommend sandals. The couple requests no tank tops or swimsuits please.
- Will my cell phone work on and off the ship?
Yes, your phone will work on the ship but please understand that if you are at sea it will connect to the ships network and the fees can be very pricey. We recommend turning the phone off during sea days and while sailing. Use Wi-Fi instead. Your phone may or may not work in ports depending on your cellular provider. Some providers like AT&T and Verison have international plans that are per day and quite reasonable. Please check your options with your cell provider.
- Will I need different money for each stop?
No, it will not be necessary to exchange money unless you plan to do a lot of small market shopping. Most all tourist areas accept US dollars or credit cards. If you feel you would like to exchange some money, the ships purser desk can do this for you.
- Do I need any special plugs for my electronics?
No, the Reflection uses US ports. If you are traveling with a device that needs to be plugged in such as an apnea machine, please let Sue know so that can be set up for you with the needed equipment. Your cabin has a blow dryer so you can leave yours home.
- What if the price drops or promotions are better after I book?
We can always get the current cruise price being offered and/or promotion being offered. Sometimes however, what sounds like it will be a better deal, doesn’t always price out to be. But if you see something that you think is better, just call and ask Sue to check. She can help you decide if you want to change promotions or keep what you have.
Travel Insurance
Travel insurance is always optional but strongly recommended. Please discuss this with Sue when booking your cabin. Pricing on insurance depends on 4 things: your age, your trip cost, the state you reside in and the length of your trip. Remember, travel insurance is not just for trip cancellation coverage, it is for coverage of many unseen things that could happen during the trip as well. Example: a filling falls out and you need to see a dentist, you drop your camera in the ocean or you miss your flight home. Travel insurance can help with all these and so many more things.
Booking your cabin
Because promotions are changing all the time, we can’t provide you with exact costs. Yes, we have group space and pricing held but it may not always be the best that is offered. So, just give Sue a call and she can go over the various options for you to consider. She is here to help.
We strongly recommend you book your cabin sooner rather than later. Here is why:
- The earlier you book, the better the promotions are, as the ship fills they are less inclined to offer promotions
- The earlier you book, the more choices you will have in your cabin location and type
- We can only hold cabins for 2 guests so if you need a cabin for 3 or 4 it is very important that you do so as soon as you are able. By maritime law, the ship is only allowed a set number of triple/quad cabins and once they are gone there is nothing we can do to get one.
- The couple needs a head count to make wedding plans, how many people will need transportation to the wedding site, how many chairs are needed, and most importantly how many glasses of champagne are needed! So help them out, book early.
Katy and Dan request you make your reservation not later than Aug 25th.
