Tentative Itinerary

Day 1 – Venice to Bologna & Walking Tour

After disembarking the ship, we’ll make our way to the Venice train station to catch a high-speed train to Bologna, the vibrant capital of Emilia-Romagna.

Following hotel check-in to drop off luggage, enjoy a guided walking tour through the heart of this historic city, famous for its beautiful porticoes, medieval architecture, and lively piazzas. Discover iconic landmarks including Piazza Maggiore, the Basilica of San Petronio, Neptune Fountain, and the city’s famous Two Towers while learning about Bologna’s rich history and traditions.

In the afternoon we head out for an amazing Bologna Hills wine experience at Umberto Cesari winery. After a short transfer from Bologna city center, travel through the scenic hills surrounding Bologna and enjoy a wine and food experience celebrating the region’s rich culinary heritage. We’ll begin with a guided visit of the wine cellar, where you will learn about the winery’s history, philosophy, and winemaking techniques. Continue with a guided tasting led by a professional sommelier, featuring three wines carefully paired with selected local specialties that showcase the authentic flavors of Emilia-Romagna.

The evening is yours to relax, explore, and enjoy dinner at one of the city’s renowned local restaurants.

We start by visiting a traditional Parmigiano Reggiano producer and learn how Italy’s most celebrated cheese is crafted and aged before enjoying a tasting of different varieties.

Our culinary journey continues to a renowned Prosciutto di Parma producer to discover the time-honored techniques behind this iconic cured ham. A leisurely lunch featuring regional specialties and local wines completes the experience, offering a true taste of Parma and the region’s extraordinary culinary heritage.

Return to Bologna to enjoy the city’s celebrated dining scene and another overnight in the heart of Emilia-Romagna.


Day 3 – Ferrari, Balsamic Vinegar & Lambrusco in Modena

Experience the passions and traditions of Modena on a full-day excursion. Begin with a visit to the legendary Ferrari Museum in Maranello, where we’ll explore the history, innovation, and racing heritage of one of Italy’s most iconic brands.

Next, we visit a traditional balsamic vinegar producer to learn about the meticulous aging process that creates Modena’s prized culinary treasure, followed by tasting and lunch.

We conclude the day at a local Lambrusco winery, where we will discover the region’s distinctive sparkling red wine and enjoy a guided tasting.

We again return to Bologna this evening, where we’ll enjoy time at leisure for dinner and another overnight in the heart of Italy’s culinary capital.


Day 4 – Arrivederci … or Venice Awaits

Transfer to the airport for flights home—or extend your stay with a few magical days in Venice.
